Cinema site - what do you think?

Altitude, the owners of the former ABC cinema site, have submitted a planning application to develop the Tunbridge Wells centre grotspot.

Councillor Ben Chapelard (St James' ward), Leader of Tunbridge Wells Liberal Democrats on the Borough Council, said "We welcome Altitude's application. This is a major milestone and, given the owner's development record, this planning application means the end of this 17-year saga is, finally, in sight. Thank you to the 15,000 people who backed our campaign."

Ben added "The Tunbridge Wells Lib Dems want to hear your views about the planning application. Please leave us your thoughts below."

Sound very good. But a lot will depend on the Architecture-after all this is the Town Centre and the look of the resulting building are of prime importance

Well, what do you know! A cinema is included. Hope there will be mixed housing. See references to section 106.

From what I have seen in this weeks Times magazine the proposals look great.

I love working water features so only install them if there is funding for operation/maintenance.

Well done all who are pushing this

Are the dwellings going to be affordable?

Excellent news! Well done to all. Let’s make this a new cinema for the centre of town. We now have lots of good places to eat and drink and I think a new cinema will bring back the long overdue “night time” attraction to the town
