Mary is fighting hard for pensioners and disabled people who cannot use alternatives

Lib Dem Cllr Mary Lewis is leading a vigorous campaign to fight the closure of the local post office.

Mary is organising a petition in roads surrounding the post office in St. James Road and is encouraging local residents to sign up and also write to the Post Office directly.

"We must not let this vital facility close," said Cllr Lewis. "It would be a bitter blow to the local community, and to many pensioners and disabled people who cannot get into the Town Centre easily by public transport or any other means."
