Laura, "Our local campaign is now environmentally friendly"

Demonstrating her commitment to the green agenda, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate, Laura Murphy is using Climate Care to make her election campaigning climate neutral.

Laura said, "Climate change is perhaps the most important threat to our world. The Liberal Democrats recognise this by ensuring that a green thread runs through all of our policies. As a committed environmentalist, I believe it is important to make sure those words are translated into action."

Laura is addressing the impact of her campaign activities on global warming by offsetting carbon dioxide emissions that will be released from her election activities. "People don't realise how quickly things add up: it's not only by driving throughout the constituency and emitting car fumes, but also the energy used in printing leaflets and at the campaign HQ."

"By asking Climate Care to make reductions of 3.4 tonnes of carbon dioxide on behalf of my parliamentary campaign I am ensuring that we do not contribute towards climate change".
