Laura, "If people thought we could win, according to the poll, they would vote for us. We can win if they do!"

Liberal Democrats were out in force in Tunbridge Wells following the publication of a survey that said Liberal Democrats could take the Parliamentary seat. "An opinion poll said that if those people who said they wanted to vote Liberal Democrat actually did that, then Tunbridge Wells would return a Liberal Democrat MP," said Laura Murphy.

Charles Kennedy confirmed the poll. "This poll shows that if everybody in Tunbridge Wells who supports the Liberal Democrats' positive plans for Britain voted for us, we could win here"

David Neve, Borough Councillor and County candidate also supported the findings, "Knowing Tunbridge Wells as I do, and speaking to so many people, residents are fed up with the Tories in Tunbridge Wells. They want a change."

Laura said, "No one can predict the vote on 5 May. Labour voters have become disillusioned with Tony Blair, Michael Howard is being seen as the face of the "nasty party". Charles Kennedy is by far and away the most trusted leader in the country. Only the Liberal Democrats have consistently stood as a party of integrity and opposed the Government. Our polices on scrapping the council tax, providing free personal care for the elderly and scrapping tuition fees offer real solutions to real problems in today's society. We are the real alternative."
